The better you know yourself within the terms of your business,
The faster your success, and
The better your relationship with your audience.
This means: people will engage and buy whatever you offer faster.
Much faster, usually!
Because audiences trust people who seem to know themselves well,
Both good and bad.
Donkey’s years ago, I used to believe I was a hypochondriac.
I could always tell when something was niggling or not quite right,
And I absolutely rushed at every sniffle to the docs.
Fast forward a few decades,
And I’m not what anyone would objectively call “hypochondriac”.
So what changed?
In fact, research and data changed – significantly!
Back then, there was no widespread language –
And certainly not even a vague idea of “social media” –
For something that is much more clear about
Innate characteristics that I have.
Turns out, I’m what is considered technically and scientifically,
a Highly Sensitive Person, or HSP.
Turns out what led me to the actions of hypochondria,
Were the traits of someone who has higher “sensitivity”.
The important thing here is that there is no “good” or “bad” attached
To this type of Sensitivity.
I’m not “better” or “worse” for it, it’s just my baseline norm.
Of course, all of this matters hugely because
With this understanding of myself,
I get to choose…
Based on numbers and data.
I get to decide…
Based on numbers and data.
I get to plan accordingly to what suits me best…
Based on numbers and data.
And my outlook is totally different than decades ago.
In a nutshell, I know myself far better.
And in business, this is the game-changer.
All my decisions,
All my relationships,
All my interactions are better when I know myself,
And my audience can know me.
We must never forget that an audience will always judge, no matter what.
First impressions matter.
What appears true, resonates.
And your audience is always providing you feedback,
Whether directly with comments, engagement and buys,
Or through silence,
Which in itself screams volumes about how well things are working.
Dive deeper,
Get to know yourself better in the frame of your business.
And don’t forget:
You’re audience will decide based on whatever they perceive from you.
