Historically, March was the month of Mars, or the god of War.
In business, war just means strategy.
If you’re not in the 0.01% where you had an idea and now effortlessly make 8 figures a year, then strategy is everything. We’re diving into Targeting today in terms of your advertising strategy.
This is from FB recently:
As Facebook continues to improve on Privacy and Transparency practices, a lot of information is disappearing. And come March 17th, you may need to make some major adjustments. That doesn’t mean that you need to despair.
However, I hope you seriously took my Recommendation 9 months ago, and put the GAS on your list building, especially if you still have a small list.
Here are your best bets when it comes to targeting going forward:
1 Lookalike audiences
If you currently have a list, or a following on either FB or IG, then make Lookalikes based on those.
2 Targeting combinations
You’ll still have targeted Interests, just fewer of them.
So use more in combination with each other. Yes, you can combine them! That narrows your total more effectively.
3 Expansion for Targeting or Lookalikes
The little checkbox option is now, one of your best friends. Facebook is now leaning much more heavily on the magic of the algorithm.
Saying to you:
“Now we have a base of what you’re looking for, let us do the heavy lifting for you.” And never forget: That algorithm is as good as it is, because it’s based on earlier results.
If someone opted into another person’s lead magnet, or purchased someone else’s product, they’re more likely to do the same for you. This uses your budget better.
