Changemakers say “This is not right – and must be better”

I’ve never given myself enough Grace to call myself a “changemaker”.

But I’m absolutely stepping into that role with GRM, aka Golden Ring Marketing.

 

I say: Enough! with the constant and insipid “lead and sales, leads and sales”

Advertising incompleteness.

Instead, we’re committed to changing it up,

By honoring the true and holistic aspects of advertising

That need to fully get integrated a business, and address the larger marketing.

 

Put bluntly, ads can work, but marketing can suck.

And it actually often is subpar, that marketing.

Though I’d never say it sucked!

Let’s say, it could be strengthened in many cases.

 

So I needed to step forward, step firmly away from all the lovely folks who are still asking

An audience “do ads really work?”

And scream from the rooftops that, “Of course advertising works, you just need to make it 

Aligned and integrated into your overall marketing plan.”

 

Then it can actually shine.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing now.

We’re stepping past the limits of “running ads” for people because they mistakenly believe “ads don’t work”

 

Because they’re only following half the recipe.

It’s like baking a cake but leaving out half the ingredients...

Then proclaiming, “Well that recipe doesn’t work!”

Ummm, let’s address the elephant in the room…

(Giving side-eye to the forgotten ingredients.)

 

This week we honor both Rosa Parks Day, as well as World AIDS Day.

Talk about creating major WAVES!

This woman and that disease brought out the Changemakers!

And a quick side note that Ms Parks is so near and dear to my heart as an introverted, soft-spoken force,

Who was heard nonetheless, just like you can be.

No need for loudmouths and blowhards alone in the business world.

 

You are a unique changemaker too.

 

Unless you’ve purchased a franchise –  and good for you if you have! I so wish a Bahama Breeze and Mendocino Farms would open in the desert, so if you’re looking… – 

Then there is something extraordinarily unique about your business.

This specialness is what we want to shine.

This is what we want brand awareness to share.

This is what we want front and center in all your advertising…

 

Just as I am actively shunning the “leads and sales” conversation we’ve all gotten tired of and blind to. (Though don’t be surprised if you see it while I’m testing out content…

Because, you know, that’s kind of my thing 😉

 

So unless you’re running the franchise by the book, what’s your special take on what is not right about that business?

By going with your offer instead of a competitor’s?

 

Time to stand loud and proud as those early pioneers fighting AIDS who lost so many due to a government that refused to say the word AIDS for literally years.

But someone stepped up, someone like you.

 

Because the truth is that everyone can be affected no shame or stigma needed.
